Production Director of the Moscow Automobile Plant Oleg Maslyakov said that Moskvich plans to increase production in parallel with the development of sales and expansion of the dealer network.
“The production plan of the Moskvich automobile plant for 2024 is about 50 thousand cars,” said Oleg Maslyakov.
Back in August, the company stated that the plan for 2024 included the production of 44 thousand cars. Now it has increased by about 13.6%.

It is worth adding that at the end of last year it was announced that the Moskvich plant would release more than 50 thousand new cars to the car market in 2023. It was also planned that there would be about 10,000 electric vehicles. However, Moskvich now plans to produce about 27 thousand cars in 2023, including 4.2 thousand electric vehicles. This was previously reported by the director for interaction with government agencies and corporate relations of the enterprise, Tatyana Redko.
Today it also became known that the Russian family crossover “Moskvich 8” – the largest in the brand’s line – will be presented in 2024.
