Motorola shares plans to update smartphones to Android 11

Many smartphone manufacturers have already updated their devices to the current Android 11. Unfortunately, Motorola smartphone owners have nothing to rejoice in yet. However, the company did share its plans to update its branded smartphones.

Motorola has not yet announced the exact timing of the deployment of the new OS but has published a list of devices that will be updated to Android 11. The good news is that the list is quite extensive. Here is a list of all Motorola smartphones that will receive Android 11:

  • Motorola RAZR 5G
  • Motorola RAZR 2019
  • Motorola edge
  • Motorola Edge +
  • Motorola One 5G
  • Motorola one action
  • Motorola one fusion
  • Motorola One Fusion +
  • Motorola one hyper
  • Motorola one vision
  • Moto G 5G
  • Moto G 5G Plus
  • Goto g fast
  • Moto g power
  • Moto G Pro
  • Moto g stylus
  • Moto G9
  • Moto G9 Play
  • Moto G9 Plus
  • Moto G9 Power
  • Moto G8
  • Moto G8 Power

Motorola’s accomplishments are not overly impressive when it comes to smartphone operating system updates. Last year, the company only started rolling out Android 10 to its phones in December. A year earlier, it took Motorola three months to start updating branded smartphones to Android 9. It can be assumed that Android 11 will not appear on the company’s phones until the end of the first quarter of 2021.
