Russian aggregator sold non-refundable tickets

A Moscow resident named Arthur planned a trip with his wife to Mexico at the beginning of the year, but due to the cancellation of a Turkish Airlines flight, he lost half a million rubles. He told the portal msk1.ru the details.

Arthur bought plane tickets eight months before the flight, which was supposed to take place on November 4 from Vnukovo airport. They were supposed to fly to Istanbul, and from there take a connecting flight to Mexico City.

“The flight from Vnukovo to Istanbul was cancelled. There I had a connecting flight to Mexico City. I was going to travel to Mexico, and all my tickets there were non-refundable,” said Arthur.

He paid for both flights through a Russian aggregator: “Two flights, and I bought both through an aggregator in Russia, and they don’t refund tickets. Half of the hotels, due to the fact that the free return period has expired, will not return the money either.”

The airline did not offer any solutions to the problem. Economy class tickets were sold out, and for seats in business class they asked for another half a million rubles.

I note that I ordered tickets at the beginning of the year, they changed all these connecting flights 8 more times. The most recent time was changed to minus 10 minutes, that is, my plane arrives at, say, 10:35, and the connecting plane was supposed to take off 10 minutes ago.
