NASA again postponed the launch of the Crew Dragon spacecraft

This is not the first postponement of the launch

The US Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA announced a new planned date for the launch of the Crew Dragon spacecraft with the crew of the Crew-7 mission to the International Space Station.

NASA and space company SpaceX are now scheduling a launch for August 21 at 5:23 AM ET (12:23 AM BST), with August 25 at 3:49 AM ET (10:49 AM ET) being considered as a backup date. Moscow time). It was previously planned that the launch would take place on August 17. And this is not the first transfer. On July 5, NASA announced that the launch of the spacecraft would take place on August 15, and then postponed it to August 17.

The crew of the Crew-7 mission includes Roscosmos cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov, NASA astronaut Jasmine Mogbeli, ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen and JAXA astronaut Satoshi Furukawa.

According to NASA, the launch is consistent with activities on board the ISS, including operations with other crew and cargo spacecraft. In the coming weeks, Cygnus cargo spacecraft from Northrop Grumman and Progress from Roscosmos should arrive at the station.

In July 2022, within the framework of the ISS program, Roscosmos and NASA signed an agreement on cross-flights of three Russian cosmonauts on the American Crew Dragon manned spacecraft and three American astronauts on the Russian Soyuz MS manned spacecraft in 2022–2024.
