New cars created by Canoo
NASA said the agency has received three Canoo electric vehicles, which were built specifically to carry astronauts to the launch pad before flying to the moon and beyond..
The cars are designed in such a way that it is convenient for astronauts in their spacesuits to be in them. The three vehicles will be able to carry four astronauts and support personnel, including space suit technicians, as well as carry specialized equipment.
NASA took part in the creation of the design, the staff helped to choose the internal and external markings, colors and even wheel arches. These machines will replace the Astrovans, which have been in service since 1984. Based on a modified Airstream motorhome, the cars have been in use for nearly 40 years.
