The NAS is based on a dual-core Intel Celeron J4025 processor, operating at a frequency of 2.0-2.9 GHz. As standard, the DDR4 RAM is 2 GB. Expandable up to 8 GB. The storage has four bays for 3.5-inch drives with the SATA interface and two 2.5 GbE ports. The aggregation capability provides 5 Gb / s bandwidth. Another advantage is the presence of two slots for caching solid-state drives of size M.2 2280 with the SATA 6 Gb / s interface. The NAS also includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and two USB 2.0 ports. Power is provided by an integrated 100 W unit.

According to the manufacturer, TS-451DeU is “a modern NAS 2.5GbE solution for enterprises that allows you to solve everyday tasks, such as backing up and restoring files.” In addition, TS-451DeU can serve as “the ideal multimedia server with support for streaming video and transcoding.”
