And even higher
AMD, even before the launch of Ryzen desktop CPUs, often talked about the great attention to the memory support of these processors. The company has now released the AGESA 1.0.0.7 update for motherboards, which, among other things, allows the boards to work with very high frequency DDR5 memory.
For example, on the mid-range ASRock B650 LiveMixer board, the Ryzen 9 7900X processor was able to work with DDR5-8000 modules. The same is already working on the Asus ROG X670 Gene. And on the MSI MEG X670 Ace board, the DDR5-7600 memory was overclocked to DDR5-8200.
New BIOS allows AMD AM5 motherboards to work with DDR5-8000 memory
The new BIOS is already available for some models of motherboards, and should appear in bulk at the end of the month.
