Apple still has a long time before its release

Apple will start selling its Vision Pro headset only in early 2024, and even then only in the US for the first time. The company has a lot of time to improve both hardware and software. And today, The Information resource shared data on what other services and applications Apple has developed or is developing for devices, but did not show at the presentation.

First, Apple is working on a plethora of apps and features related to sports and health.

Some employees have discussed collaborating with brands like Nike for headset workouts, while others have explored face pads that are better for high-intensity workouts. According to a former employee, one suggestion even included wearing the Vision Pro and interacting with content on an exercise bike.

Here, in fact, the scope for Apple is very large, but in general, you need to remember that the headset is worn on the head, and journalists noted its considerable weight, and this must also be remembered about the mass of the external battery. Therefore, training with a headset clearly cannot be as diverse as without it.

The second major feature concerns the headset’s ability to track almost the entire body, thanks to a pair of downward-facing cameras.

Apple has yet to complete development of the full-body tracking feature it had planned for the device. This feature was one of the reasons why the device is equipped with two cameras that point downwards and can see the wearer’s body and hands. Apple representatives told developers earlier this month that full body tracking will not be available when the device launches next year.

In addition, additional 3D content may appear later on Apple TV +, but Apple, apparently, paid less attention to games in the end than it originally intended.
