ASRock told about it
ASRock has published an article dedicated to their motherboards, which are already ready for the release of new Intel processors. Among other things, the manufacturer also talks about the release date of the new CPUs: this will happen in October.
We have previously heard that new items will be released this month, so probably the same leaks and rumors are based on reliable data. ASRock also confirms that the new CPUs will support DDR5-6400 memory against Raptor Lake’s DDR5-5600.
New Intel processors will be released in October and provide a performance boost of 4-15%
More interestingly, the motherboard maker is indicating expected performance gains from moving from Raptor Lake to Raptor Lake Refres. The company talks about 4-8% growth in single-threaded mode and 8-15% in multi-threaded. Recall that the new CPUs will almost completely copy the current generation, but Intel will slightly increase the frequencies. The exception will be the Core i7 models, which will have more cores compared to their direct predecessors.
