Or the company has a strange understanding of the middle of the year
Recently, from official Intel documents, we learned that Tiger Lake processors should enter the market sometime in the middle of the year. In this case, it was precisely about the release of finished devices, that is, laptops.
New Intel Tiger Lake Mobile Processors May Come Out Later Than Company Promised
However, it is likely that the middle of the year for Intel is September or even October. This is hinted at by the Lenovo roadmap, which states that laptops with Tiger Lake processors will appear in the fall. This is at least the ThinkPad X1 Titanium, ThinkPad X1 Nano, and ThinkPad X12.
Given the fact that Lenovo is one of the leaders in the PC and laptop market, it is unlikely that other companies will be far ahead of the Chinese giant in the rate of release of mobile PCs on the latest Intel CPUs. However, it is too early to speak about the situation finally.
It is also worth noting that for the same period Lenovo is scheduled to launch products with Intel Lakefield processors. Recall that this is the first of its kind heterogeneous mobile processor with one “large” core and four “small” ones.
