New Phoenix Point Edition Coming A Week Earlier Than Scheduled Due To Recent Portal Of Cyberpunk 2077

Snapshot Games Studio, led by the creator of the X-COM series Julian Gollop (Julian Gollop) on the official website of its tactical strategy Phoenix Point announced the postponement of the Year One Edition – the “most complete” edition of the game.

Until recently, it was assumed that Phoenix Point: Year One Edition will go on sale on December 10 of this year, but as a result of the change in the release schedule, this will happen on December 3.

“We know a lot of fans have been looking forward to the Year One Edition, which was announced this year, and therefore are pleased to release [the edition] a week ahead of schedule,” said Eric Neigher, head of marketing at Snapshot Games.

Gollop added that the Phoenix Point development team “worked incredibly hard” to prepare the Year One Edition for the premiere, and the studio’s efforts will surely be appreciated.

Thanks to the Reddit user under the pseudonym RazorCalahan, Snapshot Games’ appeal to Phoenix Point contributors also got on the Web, which named another reason for the change in the release date of the Year One Edition.

In the letter, the developers openly admit that they postponed the release in order to avoid a collision with Cyberpunk 2077. The studio also thought to postpone the premiere until 2021 but found this option less favorable for players.

As a reminder, Phoenix Point: Year One Edition is being created for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store). The edition will include two add-ons (Blood and Titan, Legacy of the Ancients), the Living Weapon set, and all free updates and fixes.
