NieR Creator Takes Creative Lead For New Small-Scale Square Enix Game
NieR series producer Yosuke Saito, as part of the first official broadcast on NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 … talked about the yet-to-be-announced new game Square Enix.
The creative director is Drakengard and NieR, Yoko Taro, and the mysterious project itself is focused primarily on digital format. However, a special retail edition is also possible.
Tarot’s new undertaking cannot boast of the scale of big-budget blockbusters. Apparently, we are talking about a game from the category of representatives of independent development ( “something like an indie” ).
No specific details have been released, but Saito claims the game feels both “nostalgic and new,” and Square Enix is confident it will sell well.
According to Tarot, the new game will be “somewhat unusual” and mysterious. To the point where the developer doesn’t know how to explain it, promote it, and make it attractive to others.

Earlier, Taro and Saito are working on two projects: one of them is creepy, and the second will be released earlier than the first. It was assumed that the announcements would be made not earlier than the premiere of the updated edition of NieR Replicant, scheduled for April 23.
