NieR: Replicant ver. 1.22474487139 … boasts new story content and a link to Automata

The release of the Japanese action RPG NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 … is just around the corner. And the closer to him, the more details about the game become known. Project producer Yosuke Saito told PCGamesN that the updated version of NieR had expanded the storyline.

Speaking to PCGamesN, Yosuke Saito said, “There are a few additional plot points in [the new version of the game] that we could not include in the original. There’s also a heartbreakingly sad but mighty new boss lurking somewhere. ” Interestingly, there will also be “something” related to the character from the original NieR Replicant and NieR: Automata.

“There are a lot of new things in the game. A new story that nods to Automata and something for Daddy Nira fans, so I think people who played the original version ten years ago will be more than happy too, ”Saito said. “Papa Nir” refers to the protagonist of NieR Gestalt (western version of the game), who acted as Yeona’s father. In NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 …, just like in the Japanese version of the original game, NieR and Yona are brother and sister.

Recall that NieR: Replicant ver.1.22474487139 … is being developed by Toylogic studio and not by the creators of NieR: Automata, released in 2017. However, PlatinumGames did their bit too. In an interview, Saito praised Takahisa Taura and PlatinumGames for their work on the battles in NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 … They were very helpful in implementing the quality animation of the characters and the  “highly regarded” combat system from NieR: Automata.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 … will be released on April 23rd on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
