Let us remind you that online game stores for portable consoles Wii U and Nintendo 3DS closed on March 27, 2023. As of this day, you will no longer be able to purchase games or downloadable content from them. Online services will finally cease operation in April 2024.

To solve the problem of unspent balances, Nintendo has implemented a system that allows you to link your old eShop wallet to your Switch wallet. However, not everyone has a new Nintendo console. You can now receive a refund by submitting a claim to Nintendo. However, this is not possible if you have already linked your old eShop wallet to the Switch wallet. At the moment, this option is only offered by support in Japan.
