Nintendo unveils new Switch Lite model in blue
Nintendo has announced a new version of the Switch Lite game console in blue. It will join four other colors in the range: gray, turquoise, yellow, and coral.
Unlike the regular Nintendo Switch model, a hybrid console that can be played on the go or docked on a large TV or monitor screen, the Nintendo Switch Lite only offers portable use. As of December 2020, Nintendo had sold 79.8 million Switch, of which 13.5 million were Portable Switch Lite.
The blue Nintendo Switch Lite goes on sale in Europe on May 7th. It will be released in North America on May 21 – on the same day the action-adventure Miitopia will be released. This is a customizable adventure in which players throw their Mii characters on a role-playing quest to defeat the Face Stealer Dark Lord. The previous part of the project was released on Nintendo 3DS in 2017.
Like the other four versions of the Nintendo Switch Lite, the device will be sold in Russia for 16,499 rubles.
