No police behind your back and improved management: the authors of Cyberpunk 2077 talked about what to expect from patch 1.2

CD Projekt RED has revealed what to expect from Update 1.2 for the RPG Cyberpunk 2077. The developers will fix the police behavior, driving, and control. Earlier it was reported that the patch would be released in the second half of March. Now the authors confine themselves to the wording “shortly.

Cyberpunk Update

Many players have complained about the police showing up right behind their backs in Cyberpunk 2077. This will be fixed in Update 1.2 – CD Projekt RED will make it feel like the patrolmen drove into the crime scene after being reported. Besides, a reconnaissance drone will appear in the game, which will report the situation to the police.

Driving is another problematic element. Players (mainly those who played the keyboard or had problems with the frame rate) complained about the sudden change in the car’s direction. The update will add a Traffic Sensitivity slider that can be found in the Settings menu. Thanks to it, it will be possible to reduce the speed of changing direction while leaving the same maximum turning radius. This will also solve the problem with low frame rate control.

A system of “swinging” of the car was also presented if it drove into an obstacle and got stuck. With update 1.2, if you step on the gas, you can swing the car and turn it to the sides.

Finally, due to the frequent accidental deaths caused by evasion, in Update 1.2, it will be possible to untie this action by double-pressing the movement key. Instead, you can dodge by pressing the squat button twice. Besides, CD Projekt RED will allow WASD-bound actions to be reassigned to other keys.
