Not only actor, but also developer: Vin Diesel turns out to be the executive producer of ARK II
Studio Wildcard in a press release released shortly after the announcement of the sequel ARK: Survival Evolved clarified the role of Hollywood actor Vin Diesel (Vin Diesel) in the project.
Recall that Diesel was one of the protagonists of the debut ARK II trailer shown at The Game Awards 2020. As it turned out, the artist’s involvement is not limited to this.
Wildcard has confirmed that Diesel has become a member of the development team, with the actor taking over as “President of Creative Convergence” and serving as Executive Producer for ARK II.
“I really enjoy playing ARK and am thrilled to be joining the Studio Wildcard team to create the storyline for both the game and the animated series,” Diesel said.
According to Studio Wildcard head Doug Kennedy, Diesel has played over 1,000 hours of ARK: Survival Evolved has a deep understanding of the project and provides valuable feedback while developing the sequel.
ARK II continues the story of ARK: Survival Evolved. Diesel plays Santiago, the protagonist in the game and the character in the animated series. The developers promise to immerse gamers in a “brutal new world”.
ARK II will be released in 2022 on PC, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The game is reported to be a temporary Microsoft console exclusive. In other words, sooner or later the project will reach the devices of the PlayStation family.
