NVIDIA released GeForce 466.11 WHQL driver – it brought RTX to Mortal Shell, Reflex to Valorant, etc.
NVIDIA has released another major update to the GeForce Game Ready driver. The main innovation of the 466.11 WHQL version is support for the RTX update for the action movie Mortal Shell, which simultaneously brought DLSS technology to the game, which can increase performance up to 130% in 4K resolution.
You can activate NVIDIA DLSS in the graphics settings of the game. To demonstrate the real-time ray-traced effect mode and NVIDIA DLSS technology in action, here’s a dedicated Mortal Shell video:
The second innovation is support for NVIDIA Reflex latency reduction technology in the competitive shooter Valiant. Moreover, NVIDIA recently updated the Reflex SDK, adding a Boost mode, which further reduces system latency in some scenarios tied to the processor, when many objects are displayed on the screen simultaneously. Fortnite and Valorant were the first games to support Boost:
Another innovation is the support of NVIDIA Broadcast intelligent noise reduction technology in the popular broadcasting software – Open Broadcaster Software (OBS), starting with the beta version of Studio 27. GeForce RTX video cards will automatically and quite effectively remove extraneous noise such as loud typing on the keyboard. Chip noise, microphone static, and so on. NVIDIA Broadcast also supports utilities such as Notch Builder, SteamFX, VoiceFX, and XSplit Broadcaster.
The latest driver has brought G-Sync Variable Frame Rate Technology certification to several new displays and TVs:
- LG 27GP950 27 “IPS 4K 60-144 Hz;
- LG 2021 B1 4K 77/65/55 “OLED 40-120 Hz;

- MSI MAG301RF 30 “IPS 2560 × 1080 (WFHD) 60-200 Hz.
Two new games now support optimal quality settings through GeForce Experience: It Takes Two and Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos. Optimized work with DaVinci Resolve applications from Blackmagic Design and Adobe Lightroom. Finally, several bugs have been fixed:
- low frequency in Supreme Commander and Supreme Commander 2;
- RAW files rendered black in Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Camera RAW 12.x
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 in VR mode had problems disabling the hardware GPU scheduler feature.
- Incorrect color levels were displayed after booting to Windows.
