This can only affect China

Nvidia is reportedly preparing to redirect some of its supply of Ada Lovelace-generation desktop GPUs to the mobile 3D segment. Simply put, GPUs will not be used for desktop adapters, but for mobile ones.

Nvidia will make mobile graphics cards from desktop GPUs to meet the demand

It will be made at least in China to meet the huge demand. True, this may lead to a decrease in the number of available video cards for the desktop segment and, as a result, to an increase in prices or, more likely, to their fixation.

Apparently, this applies to the GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 graphics cards. Nvidia could probably just increase the production of GPUs for laptops, but reducing the amount of GPUs available for desktop adapters may allow the company to keep prices at the current level, while without such intervention, prices may continue to decline due to both the weakness of the market as a whole and the recommended prices that are not the most adequate for the younger RTX 40.
