It costs $180

At the Def Con conference, hacker and developer Michael Grover, known by the nickname MG, showed the O.MG Elite cable with a built-in web server, USB power, Wi-Fi access and a keylogger. It allows you to hack PCs and smartphones, and then monitor their work, imitate button presses or enter commands. Almost all current operating systems are supported.

This is the second version of the cable, it can send and receive data wirelessly. The first version had a Wi-Fi access point, but its capabilities were limited.

O.MG Elite allows you to intercept button presses, launch attacks or actions using the console, download malware or steal saved passwords from the browser, transmitting them to an attacker over the Internet. There is also a keylogger that tracks button presses and can store up to 650,000 entries in the cable’s own memory.

In this case, the antivirus will not help, because from the point of view of the system, such a cable is not a virus. It itself looks like a charger cable, so it can be offered to the victim. Lightning, USB-A, and USB-C versions are available, so the cable can be used to hack Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. The issue price is $ 180, the author plans to sell such cables to everyone.
