Xiaomi has officially announced that the Xiaomi Mijia Hair Clipper 2 will go on sale in China today for $19.
The manufacturer claims that Xiaomi Mijia Hair Clipper 2 received improved double-coated obsidian knives. According to Xiaomi, the cutting head is wear-resistant, while it does not cause irritation or scratch the skin.

Perhaps this is the difficulty of translating from Chinese to English, but in English it sounds like double-coated obsidian blades. Obsidian is a natural volcanic glass, an effusive rock formed as a result of the rapid cooling of lava. We can only assume that the knives are ceramic or have a similar coating.
Xiaomi Mijia Hair Clipper 2 supports 19 length adjustments and two speeds. The case corresponds to the degree of protection IPX7, while it has an indication of the charge level.
