There have been numerous rumors around the Mate 40 series in recent months. These will be flagship smartphones equipped with a high-quality display with a refresh rate of at least 90 Hz.

According to reports, four models will debut at the upcoming presentation – the basic version of the Mate 40, the more powerful modifications of the Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro Plus, as well as a special version of the Mate 40 Porsche.

It is expected that the new products will be based on the proprietary 5-nanometer chip Kirin 9000, which may become the last flagship Huawei processor due to US sanctions. Of course, support for fifth-generation (5G) mobile networks will be implemented.

Of course, smartphones will receive a multi-module camera with wide shooting capabilities. The equipment of this unit will be different for different modifications of the Mate 40. For example, the following configuration is given: a 108-megapixel main sensor, a periscope module with 5x optical zoom, an ultra-wide-angle optics module, and a ToF sensor for obtaining information about scene depth.

Buyers will be able to choose between versions with 8 and 12 GB of RAM. The flash drive capacity will be up to 512 GB.
