Official: Next Life is Strange Subtitled True Colors, Coming In September On All Major Platforms
As promised, Square Enix has unveiled the next installment of Life is Strange as part of the debut issue of their online news show Square Enix Presents.
The leaks surrounding the announcement were confirmed: the game is really called Life is Strange: True Colors and the studio Deck Nine Games ( Life is Strange: Before the Storm ) is actually responsible for the development.
Life is Strange: True Colors will go on sale September 10 this year for PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Google Stadia. Pre-orders started on all target platforms in three editions: Standard, Expanded, and Full.
The latest version, among other things, includes remasters of the original Life is Strange, and the already mentioned Life is Strange: Before the Storm. Reissues were also announced as part of the debut issue of Square Enix Presents.
As expected, Life’s heroine is Strange: True Colors will be an Asian American named Alex Chen, who can read and absorb strong emotions (represented as colorful auras) of other people.
The protagonist hides her “curse” from everyone, but the death of her brother forces Alex to seize her powers to find out the truth about what happened and at the same time reveal the dark secrets of a small town.
The developers promise to arrange a “hurricane of emotions,” provide an opportunity to “change destinies and lives,” “earn the trust of city residents and strike up a friendship or romantic relationship,” as well as choose an outfit for the heroine.
