You can edit the message within 15 minutes after sending
The WhatsApp team has announced the mass launch of a new feature in the popular messenger. If the user made a mistake and sent a message with an annoying typo, now it is possible to correct this oversight – edit the sent message without deleting it entirely.

The developers explained:
Now you can easily correct a typo or add additional information after the message has been delivered. Just press and hold on it and then select “Edit” from the menu that appears.
You can edit the message within 15 minutes after sending. The recipient will see the “Modified” mark, but will not be able to view the revision history. The changes made, as well as all private messages, media and calls, are protected by end-to-end encryption.
WhatsApp has already begun rolling out this feature globally and will roll out to all users in the coming weeks.
