Officially: the announcement of the smartphone-book Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is scheduled for August 5

The European division of Samsung has published a teaser announcing the imminent announcement of a new generation of flexible smartphones – the Galaxy Z Fold 2. As expected, the device will debut on August 5 at the virtual presentation of Galaxy Unpacked 2020.

From various sources, the key characteristics of the upcoming smartphone are already known, which appears under the codename SM-F9160. The device will receive a 7.7-inch flexible Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This panel will fold into the body like a book. On the outside, there will be an auxiliary screen with a diagonal of 6.23 inches.

It is noted that the triple main camera will include a 64-megapixel sensor. It is said about the presence of two 10-megapixel selfie cameras – outside and inside (according to other sources, one of these cameras will have a resolution of 12 million pixels).

The computing load will fall on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or Snapdragon 865 Plus processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.84 and 3.1 GHz, respectively. The amount of RAM is supposedly 12 GB, and the capacity of the flash drive – 256 and 512 GB.

Power is provided by a two-component rechargeable battery with a total capacity of 4365 mAh (2090 + 2275 mAh). It speaks of support for fast 25-watt charging technology.
