OnePlus 9 Pro smartphone owners complain about overheating when using the camera

OnePlus 9 Pro smartphone owners complain about overheating when using the camera

Some owners of OnePlus 9 Pro smartphones have started complaining about overheating their devices. Users note that most often, the problem occurs when the “Camera” application is running. After a few minutes of recording or photographing, the software reports that it cannot function due to the gadget’s high temperature. Also, the same message is issued by the Android system.

One of the Android Police portal authors drew attention to the problem, which became an OnePlus 9 Pro smartphone.

“The temperature of your device is very high at the moment; please pause the shooting and wait until it drops”  and “It is impossible to shoot because the phone temperature is too high,” the editor of the resource Artyom Russakovsky encountered with such messages.

After a while, the Android system also reports that the device is ready for use again. According to the same Artyom, he used the smartphone under normal conditions at an ambient temperature of 21 to 26 degrees Celsius.

Curiously, another editor of the Android Police resource, which also has an OnePlus 9 Pro smartphone, could not repeat the overheating problem. Even when recording 4K video for a long time, the device was stable. It is noteworthy that a check with the CPU-Z program for smartphones shows that the battery is overheating, although the battery’s actual temperature is within normal limits. Thus, the problem is more of software rather than a hardware problem.

It is noted that OnePlus is aware of this situation. Her representative said that in the coming weeks, the manufacturer would release software updates to correct this flaw.
