OnePlus is turning into Xiaomi.

He has an original shape.

Today, during the big OnePlus Cloud event, the company introduced a lot of new products. Of the atypical devices – a keyboard with mechanical switches and the first router in the history of OnePlus.

 

The novelty is called OnePlus Hub 5G Router, and its cylindrical shape is more like a smart speaker. As the name implies, the router has a built-in modem with support for fourth and fifth generation networks: the device can distribute mobile Internet via Wi-Fi. The speed parameters are not disclosed, only Wi-Fi 6 support is mentioned.

OnePlus promises to reveal all the details about the router by July, at the same time prices will be announced. But in general, it is significant that with such an expansion of the range, OnePlus, which previously produced exclusively smartphones, is turning into a diversified company like Xiaomi.
