OnePlus unveils its first smartwatch: fast charging and high-quality screen for $ 159
Today, OnePlus, in addition to three new smartphones, presented its first smartwatch. The device, dubbed the OnePlus Watch, boasts a classic and uncluttered design, advanced functionality, and long battery life.
One of the most interesting features of the device is its tight integration with the OnePlus ecosystem. The new watch gives the user the ability to control other devices, such as OnePlus TVs. Like most smartwatches, the OnePlus Watch lets you receive and view notifications from apps.
The OnePlus Watch’s round AMOLED display measures 1.39 inches and has a pixel density of 326 PPI. It is covered with a durable sapphire crystal. It is worth noting that to personalize the screen; the user can choose from 50 different dials at once.
The watch is equipped with a gyroscope, a blood oxygen level sensor, and a heart rate sensor for the set of sensors. Also present in the OnePlus Watch is a GPS module, an accelerometer, and a geomagnetic sensor.
The manufacturer did not disclose the watch’s memory size but claims that it contains 500 songs that can be listened to through wireless headphones that connect directly to the device. This will certainly be appreciated by athletes who will no longer have to take a smartphone or a separate player with them for jogging. They will also appreciate the extensive range of training modes.
The OnePlus Watch case is made of metal. The straps can be made of silicone or leather if you purchase the OnePlus Watch Cobalt Limited Edition. Good autonomy should be noted separately. The watch can work without recharging for two weeks. By the way, it takes only 20 minutes for the device to charge fully.
OnePlus smartwatches don’t run on Wear OS but their own real-time operating system. This approach is used in many wearable devices, such as Fitbit fitness bracelets.
The OnePlus Watch, available in black and white, will cost $ 159. Pricing for the Cobalt Limited Edition will be announced at a later date.
