Online in Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam grew by a third after patch 1.2, but still lags behind The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
At the end of March, Cyberpunk 2077 received a massive patch 1.2. It contained more than five hundred changes that improved the game’s performance on different platforms. The update, judging by the increase in the number of active users of Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam, aroused interest among players – online in Cyberpunk 2077 after the patch’s release grew by a third. However, it is still lower than in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
According to the SteamDB site, before the release of Update 1.2, the latest action RPG from CD Projekt RED had about 19 thousand people having fun at its peak. And yesterday, April 4, there were 25,430 users online. Moreover, the growth took place on the weekend and not immediately after the release of the patch. Apparently, many people have carved out free time to look at the changes. Whether this number of concurrent users will remain on weekdays is hard to say. Before the patch’s release from Monday to Friday online in Cyberpunk 2077 dropped to 13-14 thousand people.
However, even such positive dynamics did not allow the cyberpunk project to overtake The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Its peak online at the weekend exceeded 44 thousand users, and on weekdays it drops to 30-32 thousand. At the same time, The Witcher 3 was released almost six years ago.
