Open beta of Resident Evil Re: Verse did not last even a day – testing was suspended due to technical problems

The Capcom publisher in one of its microblogs and on the Resident Evil series’s official website announced the temporary suspension of the open beta testing of the multiplayer action game Resident Evil Re: Verse.

Recall that this stage of pre-release tests began on April 8 at 9:00 am Moscow time on all target platforms of Resident Evil Re: Verse – PC (Steam), PS4, and Xbox One.

Less than a day after the start of testing, Capcom was forced to “pull the brake”: in the open beta of Resident Evil Re: Verse, there were serious problems with the matchmaking system.

“Since we still see problems with the matchmaking service Re: Verse, we decided to temporarily suspend the OBT (open beta testing – approx.) For troubleshooting,” – said Capcom.

The Japanese publisher also apologized for the inconvenience caused to players interested in Resident Evil Re: Verse and promised to “continue to investigate” what happened.

Initially, it was assumed that the open “beta” of Resident Evil Re: Verse will end on April 11, too, at 9:00 Moscow. It is not known whether testing will be prolonged as a result of these troubles.

Resident Evil Re: Verse will be released on the same day as Resident Evil Village – May 7 this year. And on April 16, the second edition of the Resident Evil Showcase will take place, within the framework of which fresh footage of “The Village” and “a lot of news” are promised.
