OPPO Reno5 family of smartphones will have a model without 5G support

The Chinese company OPPO, according to network sources, will continue to develop the Reno5 family of smartphones: soon the most affordable device of this series will debut on the international market.

Oppo Reno5

Earlier, we recall, there were models Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G, equipped respectively with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor and MediaTek Dimensity 1000+. And today the Reno5 Pro + 5G smartphone with the Snapdragon 865 chip was presented. All these devices support the fifth-generation cellular communication.

As it has now become known, the Reno5 4G device is being prepared for release with support only for fourth-generation networks. The device will be released in January in two colours – Starry Black and Fantasy White.

All the characteristics of a 4G smartphone are already known. It will be based on a Snapdragon 720G processor with an Adreno 618 graphics accelerator, working in tandem with 8 GB of RAM. The capacity of the flash module will be 128 GB.

Other equipment will be inherited from the Reno5 5G model. This is a 6.4-inch Full HD + display (2400 × 1080 pixels) with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, a front-facing 44-megapixel camera and a quadruple rear camera with sensors of 64, 8, 2 and 2 million pixels.

Power will be provided by a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 4310 mAh with SuperVOOC fast charging power of 50 W (versus 65 W for the Reno5 5G). Operating system – ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11.
