OPPO unveils slim F17 and F17 Pro smartphones with quad cameras and 30W fast charging

OPPO unveils slim F17 and F17 Pro smartphones with quad cameras and 30W fast charging

Today, just months after the release of OPPO F15 in January, the OPPO F17 smartphone and its Pro version were unveiled. The new devices boast bodies that are less than 7.5mm thick and weigh less than 160 grams, making them the thinnest smartphones in 2020.

OPPOF17PRO

OPPO F17 is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset, made according to the 8nm process technology. In the basic configuration, the smartphone is equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of permanent memory. A configuration with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will also be available. As for the OPPO F17 Pro, its “heart” is the MediaTek Helio P95, whose graphics chip is optimized for rendering without lag or with minimal lag, as well as for working with HDR images. The chipset is paired with 8 GB of RAM. The smartphone has 128 GB storage. Both devices run Android 10 with a proprietary shell Color OS 7.2.

The OPPO F17 Pro boasts a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD + resolution and 20: 9 aspect ratio. It has a 60Hz refresh rate and is certified to play HD videos on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. The screen is covered with Gorilla Glass 3+ and has two cutouts for the front camera. OPPO F17 has the same display, but only has one front camera lens.

The main camera OPPO F17 Pro consists of four sensors, the main one of which has a resolution of 48 megapixels and is supplemented by one 8-megapixel and two 2-megapixel sensors. The camera of the basic version of the smartphone differs only in that instead of a 48-megapixel sensor, a simpler 16-megapixel sensor is used. Both devices offer artificial intelligence to diversify photography.

Smartphones are equipped with 4000-mAh batteries with support for fast 30-W charging. The OPPO F17 Pro will retail for $ 315 and will go on sale on September 7th. The price and release date of the base model is still unknown.
