Ori and the Will of the Wisps Released with Optimizations for Xbox Series S and X

Publisher Microsoft and developer Moon Studios have released a major update for Ori and the Will of the Wisps on Xbox and PC, which, among other things, improves the game on next-gen consoles and adds a variety of visual and audio settings to PC.

On Xbox Series X in particular, this marvelous platformer supports 4K HDR output at 120fps. For those looking for the ultimate in quality, as promised, there is a 6K render mode followed by 4K HDR output at 60fps. It also features improved graphics and visuals, more responsive input, faster loading times, and high-quality audio with a high dynamic range. Of course, Smart Delivery is supported, meaning that Xbox One game owners won’t have to buy the Xbox Series X and S version.

Xbox Series S users will also get improvements. Ori and the Will of the Wisps can be played on this console in 1080p HDR @ 120fps or 4K @ 60fps. The rest of the improvements added to the older version are also available.

The following enhancements have been added to all Xbox platforms:

  • adjusting the sharpness in the graphics settings;
  • quick access from the pause menu;
  • backup saves in the pause menu;
  • General performance improvements for Xbox One;
  • stability fixes to further fix OOM and graphics related glitches;
  • fixed several cases of Ori falling out of the world when loading a scene;
  • additional polishing and improvements;
  • minor bug fixes.The owners of the PC version did not stand aside, who received:
    • new high-quality graphics mode for rendering sharp images with maximum visual effects settings;
    • new low-quality graphics mode with optimized visual effects settings to improve performance on slower systems;
    • PC graphics quality settings (low, balanced, high);
    • adjusting the sharpness in the graphics settings;
    • high-quality sound with a high dynamic range;
    • new low-quality audio mode to improve performance on entry-level computers;
    • quick access from the pause menu;
    • backup saves in the pause menu;
    • general performance and image quality improvements;
    • stability fixes to further fix OOM and graphics related glitches;
    • fixes of several cases of Ori falling out of the world when loading a scene;
    • additional polishing and improvements;
    • minor bug fixes.

    Ori and the Will of the Wisps are available for Xbox One, Switch, and PC ( Steam and Microsoft Store ).
