Outriders won’t face the same challenges on PS4 and Xbox One as Cyberpunk 2077
Outriders director Bartek Kmita and lead game designer Piotr Nowakowski interviewed GamingBolt that the game would not face the same difficulties on PS4 and Xbox One as Cyberpunk 2077.
Recall that at the launch of Cyberpunk 2077, the owners of the previous generation consoles faced frame rate drops, crashes, slow loading of textures, and other problems of varying severity in the project.
“Looking at the console version of the game right now, I don’t think we are facing the same difficulties. [Outriders] works on consoles. Whether it’s the previous generation or the current one, we are all right, ”the developers said.
Kmita and Novakovskiy added that they were not aware of what troubles were in store for CD Projekt RED in the production of her game: “We see the results, and they do not meet expectations, but [do not know] about the specific reasons. “
The opportunity to evaluate Outriders on consoles of the previous (and current) generation appeared with the release of a three-hour demo on February 25, including an introductory chapter of the story campaign.
As you might expect, at least Outriders preview works and looks (sometimes noticeably) worse on PS4 and Xbox One than on PS5, Xbox Series X, and S, but a disaster of the scale of Cyberpunk 2077 is out of the question.
Outriders will sell April 1 this year for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Google Stadia. In the same interview with GamingBolt, Kmita and Novakovsky assured that the game would be finished.
