Overwatch Launches Archives In-Game Event with Story Missions and New Skins

Fans of the competitive shooter Overwatch can once again immerse themselves in the fateful events of the universe’s past thanks to the Archives in-game event’s start. Those who wish can relive stories in joint plot tasks and get a lot of thematic cosmetics – both old and new.

Overwatch

First of all, joint missions are returning, in which 4 fighters are fighting shoulder to shoulder with waves of enemies, performing certain missions. This is the first mission of Tracer “Rebellion” against the “Null Sector”; Blackwatch’s Retribution mission against Talon; and Operation Premonition. Four special agents chase the quirky entrepreneur Maximilien through the streets of Havana. Each task offers three advanced modes. The first victory is always rewarded with a themed container.

Besides, stars are given every week for completing tasks in the Archives, with which you can unlock badges, graffiti, and skins: Racer for Lucio, Submariner for Zenyatta, and Camouflage for Angel. The more difficult the challenge or task, the more stars the winner will earn.

In addition to the skins from last year’s “Archives,” this time the developers offered 5 legendary costumes: “Cavalry” for Tracer, “Musketeer” for Widowmaker, “Clearing” for Dawn, “Samurai” for Genji, and “Soldier-1776” for Soldier- 76. Reaper, Bastion, and McCree have new emotions. Added and a lot of other cosmetics.

The Overwatch Archives runs until April 27th. The game is currently on sale on Battle.net – the basic version can be purchased for ₽599. Overwatch is available on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. During BlizzConline, the developers talked about the development of McCree, Farrah, Reaper, and Widowmaker in Overwatch 2 and the new character Sojurn with a rail cannon. Blizzard has shared other anticipated innovations for the competitive shooter sequel.
