Paid subscription owners are outraged by Apple’s

But most are pretty

Apple developer betas have always been available only to users who have a paid account for $99/year. But now the situation has changed.

Now anyone can sign up for the free version of the Apple Developer Program and get access to beta versions. All you need to download the betas is an Apple ID.

On social media, users are already complaining that they paid for an Apple Developer subscription for nothing, spending $ 99 to access beta versions of new OS that they made public:

So I just bought a developer account for nothing yesterday?

So I paid $99 on June 2nd for nothing?

So this wasn’t a mistake on Apple’s part?

This change means that anyone with an Apple ID can download and install the iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and macOS Sonoma betas without having to wait for the public betas to launch.

Of course, it is not recommended to install these beta versions on the main device, as there may be noticeable bugs and problems in early software.

Yesterday it was reported that Apple allegedly accidentally released the public beta of iOS 17 ahead of time and that “the shop will be shut down.” However, it turned out that this was not the case.
