According to TrendForce, a small portion of the iPhone 15 series smartphones will be assembled in India by Tata Group, which recently acquired Wistron, after which it has an iPhone production line in India. Tata Group will become Apple’s new iPhone contract partner in India, adding to a list that includes Foxconn, Pegatron and Luxshare.

According to TrendForce, Tata Group will assemble 5% of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus smartphones, while Foxconn, Luxshare Precision and Pegatron will still hold the bulk of the market. Foxconn will hold 70% of iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max assembly orders and 60% of iPhone 15 Plus orders.

Luxshare Precision will take 25% of iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro Max orders, Pegatron 35% of iPhone 15 Plus orders and 30% of iPhone 15 Pro orders. Tata Group will not assemble the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro.

The presentation of the iPhone 15 is expected in September this year.
