Patch 1.2 reached the PS4 version of Disco Elysium: the Final Cut, but did not solve all the problems
The developers of the role-playing detective Disco Elysium from the independent Estonian studio ZA / UM belatedly announced the release of update 1.2 for the PS4 version of Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, an extended edition of the game, in their microblog.
We will remind you that yesterday, April 8, the patch’s premiere took place on the PlayStation 5. As for the versions for other target platforms (PC, PS4, Stadia), the project’s creators promised not to delay the release.
The first messages about the release of update 1.2 on PS4 came on the night of April 8-9 from the official Disco Elysium Discord server and the thematic section of the Reddit forum, but the developers have reacted only now.
According to reports that came in closer to midnight, the size of the mentioned patch for Disco Elysium: The Final Cut on PS4 is about 3.9 GB. By noon, there were heated discussions on the effectiveness of the patch on social networks.
PS4 users who have installed the update continue to complain about crashes (including those resulting in the loss of saves ) and numerous bugs remaining in the console version.
Earlier it was reported that patch 1.2 should fix the main problems of Disco Elysium: The Final Cut (non-working locations, non-loading objects, interactive objects), as well as improve controller control and sound.
Recall that Disco Elysium: The Final Cut was released on March 30 of this year on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, and the streaming service Google Stadia, and in the summer, it will reach the Xbox and Nintendo Switch consoles.
