Patch 12.1 for The Division 2 brings 4K / 60p to next-gen consoles

During yesterday’s State of the Game on Twitch, Ubisoft Massive talked about upcoming improvements to The Division 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X, and S consoles. Update 12 arrives next week, December 8th.

This major update will return the Optimization Station, change the way the Global Event Reward Shop works, introduce Tactics and Ascent Challenges in Summit Mode (a series of new Skyscraper Challenges that players will receive rewards for), and improvements to Summit ”(new commendations, targeted trophies, checkpoints, tasks), a new season with its own hunting goals and tasks, new equipment and much more. More information about the innovations and changes can be found on the official website.

The development team indicated that the upcoming patch 12.1 will not bring graphics optimizations for next-gen consoles, but will simply allow The Division 2 to run in 4K resolution at 60fps on PS5, Xbox Series X, and S. The Division 2 was released in March 2019 and is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Series X, and S.  Update 11 was released on September 22nd and opened the 3rd season, added the PvE game mode “Summit”, new gear and much more.
