PC version of Nioh 2 received the first patch after the recent promises of developers

Publisher Koei Tecmo and development studio Team Ninja on the website of the digital distribution service Steam announced the release of update 1.25.1 for their samurai action movie Nioh 2.

Let us remind you that Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja promised to fix it a few days ago.

The patch also removes the causes of some crashes – in particular, when demonstrating the description of special effects of equipment. If the game continues to break in the same place, the developers advise you to check the files’ integrity.

Finally, the update added the ability to change the confirm button, reduced the tendency to slow down in hitting the wall, and so far, only partially resolved the issue of performance degradation with high-quality effects.

Meanwhile, the user rating of the Steam version of Nioh 2 continues to grow slightly: by the time the material was published, the number of negative reviews had dropped to 25% (1.7 thousand) of the total (6.7 thousand).

Nioh 2 debuted on PS4 in March 2020 and made it to PC (Steam) and PS5 on February 5, 2021, in full edition format with all three-story additions included.

The main technical problems were found in the PC version of the game. However, today’s patch is only the first step towards fulfilling our plans.

According to the official changelog, in version 1.25.1, the developers have fixed several bugs:

  • shifting aiming from one target to another by moving the mouse, even when choosing a setting that prevents it
  • increasing the sensitivity of the mouse to such an extent that navigation through the settings becomes unrealistic;
  • inability to select some permissions and their subsequent incorrect display due to Windows settings;
  • the appearance of black bars (on the left and right sides of the screen) on ultra-wide monitors when playing multiplayer.
