PC version of Silent Hill 4: The Room Unexpectedly Gets Age Rating – Players Await To Release On GOG

Microblogging portal Gematsu drew attention to the fact that the horror game Silent Hill 4: The Room for PC unexpectedly received an age rating from the Pan European Game Information (PEGI) agency.

It is noteworthy that the release date for the PC version of Silent Hill 4: The Room on the PEGI website is October 2 of the current year, while the game originally appeared on the shelves back in 2004.

Gematsu suggested that getting Silent Hill 4: The Room of a new age rating (“only for people over 18 years old,” by the way) is a harbinger of the upcoming re-release of the project.

Recall that at the end of September, the publisher of Silent Hill 4: The Room – the Japanese company Konami – released three Metal Gear games and the Konami Collector’s Series: Castlevania & Contra in the digital distribution service GOG.

The case will be limited to one only Silent Hill 4: The Room or Konami is preparing for the second coming to the PC and other parts of the franchise, it is unknown. Apparently, the wait for official news will not belong.

Based on the experience of Metal Gear and the Konami collection, a potential re-release of Silent Hill 4: The Room will remain without any graphical improvements and will be limited to compatibility with modern systems.

Silent Hill 4: The Room was released in September 2004 for PC, PS2, and Xbox. At one time, the journalists took the fourth part not too warmly – on Metacritic the project has from 67 to 76 points.
