PlayStation 5 pulled The Last Guardian at 60 fps, but only the disc version

Blogger NX Gamer posted a video on his YouTube channel showing the work of The Last Guardian adventure from the team of game designer Fumito Ueda on the PlayStation 5.

Recall that on the PlayStation 4 (even the Pro model), the game experienced performance problems, which many reviewers, including the author of 3DNews, once wrote to the project in the red.

On the upcoming Sony console, the situation is much better: the previously problematic The Last Guardian gives out almost stable 60 frames / s in backward compatibility mode.

“60 frames / s. Almost iron. No problems, and at the same time it is much more enjoyable to play, so you don’t have to think about performance at all, “ NX Gamer shared his impressions.

There is still a catch in this whole story: the desired 60 frames / s in the case of The Last Guardian is achievable exclusively in version 1.0 without any installed updates.

You can’t download such an assembly in the digital version (after the release, 30 fps fixing was added to the game), so the only way to join 60 fps in The Last Guardian is to get a disc edition and cancel the loading of patches.

The Last Guardian was released in December 2016 exclusively on PlayStation 4. It took the project almost ten years to get to the release – development began back in 2007.
