Pokemon GO will stop working on iOS 10, iOS 11, Android 5 and older iPhones in October

The change will take effect with the release of the October patch. Devices for which an operating system update is available will be better served with the latest version of Android and iOS. But if you’re playing on one of the older iPhones, you’ll need to refresh the model itself.

Users of the listed OS and devices will lose access to Pokemon GO and will not be able to use the PokeCoin currency: “Even if you manage to install and run Pokemon GO on such devices after the release of version 0.189, we will not be able to provide support in case of any technical problems “.

Pokemon GO is an augmented reality (AR) game. Gamers need to walk around the real world and catch Pokémon in the virtual one based on their location.
