At the St. Petersburg Gas Forum, the Moskvich 6 with a bi-fuel engine was presented, as Maxim Kadakov, editor-in-chief of the magazine Za Rulem, writes about.
“We are, of course, talking about methane. The Moskvich in a dual-fuel version is equipped with a 1.5 engine with a power of 104 hp. There are a few specifics. The Gazprom Gas Engine Fuel company and the Moskvich plant signed a cooperation agreement at the forum with a lengthy wording “on plans to implement a project to produce cars based on the Moskvich brand with installed gas equipment.” For now, it is only clear that both current models will be equipped with methane gas equipment – Moskvich 3 and Moskvich 6, which is persistently called a sedan,” said Maxim Kadakov.

He suggested that it would be possible to retrofit cars with methane gas equipment when purchased directly from dealers: “They say that dealers already have the equipment. Which one is unclear. It is unclear in which regions the program will be launched. Prices are also unclear.”
He added that some Moskvich 3 owners install propane gas equipment on their own.
