Nvidia will release a $300 GeForce RTX 4060 in a few days, and AMD is already selling an even cheaper Radeon RX 7600. The release of these cards could not but affect the prices of their predecessors, and it did. In Europe, the RTX 3060 and RX 6600 are reported to have fallen in price by about 10% in just a month.
Prices for RTX 3050, RTX 3060 and RX 6600 fell by 10% or more in a month
More specifically, we are talking about the Netherlands, but aggregators show that price reductions are taking place in other European markets as well. In particular, the cheapest RX 6600 can now be bought for just 200 euros, while the RTX 3060 starts at 260 euros. True, in the second case, it is worth remembering that this is a version with 8 GB of memory, which differs from the usual 12 GB in the memory bus width, which is why the younger version is slower.
AMD does not yet have an analogue of the RX 6600 at a price, but the current price of the RTX 3060 may have a bad effect on the start of sales of the RTX 4060, since the performance increase is expected to be only about 10%, while the RTX 3060 can become cheaper even more.
Also, the price of the RTX 3050 fell significantly in a month, which can now be bought in Europe from 220 euros. But models from the RTX 3070 and older in price practically do not change.
