Starring Jacob Elordi from “Euphoria” as Elvis and Cailee Spaeny as Priscilla, “Priscilla” is based on the 1986 memoir “Elvis and Me: The True Story of the Love Between Priscilla Presley and the King of Rock N’ Roll,” co-written by Priscilla Presley and author Sandra Harmon. In an exciting twist, Priscilla Presley herself is actively involved as a producer on the project, as revealed by Coppola in an interview with Vogue.

This new film is the latest addition to the rich history of on-screen portrayals of Elvis, following Luhrmann’s critically acclaimed 2022 “Elvis” movie, which featured Austin Butler as the legendary musician and Olivia DeJonge as Priscilla. Priscilla Presley wholeheartedly supported Luhrmann’s film, expressing her admiration for the project on social media and attending various premieres and awards events in person.

While the previous biopic was well-received, the upcoming “Priscilla” promises to offer a fresh perspective on the romance between the King of Rock N’ Roll and his beloved Priscilla. Priscilla herself has praised Jacob Elordi’s acting skills, expressing her confidence in Sofia Coppola’s directorial prowess and looking forward to the film’s release.
