PS2-era action RPG Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance gets a new lease of life on modern systems today
Interplay Entertainment and Black Isle have announced plans to re-release their action RPG Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance on modern systems via IGN.

Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance will sell for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch today, May 7, for $ 30 (ruble equivalent is not specified). On PS5, Xbox Series X, and S, the project will be backward compatible.
In addition to the listed devices, a re-release of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance is also planned for PC and mobile platforms. The game will reach these systems by the end of this year.
It is worth making a reservation that this is not a remake or even a remaster – Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance will be released on the platforms listed above, almost in its original form.
The only distinguishing feature of the Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance re-release will support 4K resolution. The project will also retain the local two-player co-op mode that was in the original game.
In addition to the familiar atmosphere of classic BioWare RPGs, Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance offers three customizable heroes, a dozen locations, over 40 types of monsters (including bosses), four difficulty levels, and star-studded dubbing.
The original Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance debuted in December 2001 on the PlayStation 2 and has since made its way to the Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, and Game Boy Advance.
