Published the characteristics of all 10nm mobile Intel Tiger Lake-H45 processors – up to eight cores and up to 5 GHz

Portal  HD-Tecnologia shared slide presentations coming from Intel, which will showcase high-performance mobile processors Tiger Lake-H45. In January of this year, Intel released the younger Tiger Lake-H35 models, which offer up to four physical cores and have a declared TDP level of 35 watts. The company has also promised to introduce more powerful models with up to eight cores in the second quarter of this year.

The leak confirms that the presentation of the new Tiger Lake-H45 chips will take place on May 11. On this point, laptop manufacturers will be able to announce their products based on new processors.

The Tiger Lake-H45 processors use the Willow Cove core architecture and are built using the 10nm SuperFIn process technology. The noticeable performance boost over the previous generation of Intel mobile processors is not the only feature of the high-performance Tiger Lake-H45 models.

New items will also offer support for the PCI Express 4.0 interface, which positively distinguishes them against the background of the same mobile AMD Ryzen 5000 (Cezanne-H), which lacks support for this bus standard. Intel’s new chips support up to 44 PCIe lanes, 20 of which are dedicated to PCIe 4.0. This allows you to unleash the benefits of the latest NVIDIA mobile graphics cards (and, in theory, AMD Radeon), as well as high-speed NVMe solid-state drives. Also, all Intel processors of the new series will be able to work with DDR4-3200 RAM.

The flagship model of the Tiger Lake-H45 series will be the eight-core Core i9-11980HK. It is equipped with an unlocked multiplier for manual overclocking and has a nominal TDP level of up to 65 W. This processor will be used only in the most powerful and expensive gaming solutions. It is the only one of the new Intel chips capable of automatically overclocking to 5.0 GHz.

Officially, the company will introduce three eight-core and 16-thread Tiger Lake-H45 processors: the Core i9-11900H and Core i7-11800H will join the flagship Core i9-11980HK. However, earlier leaks also pointed to the existence of a Core i9-11950H model. The purpose of this processor is still a mystery. Perhaps we are talking about some special version that some specific manufacturer will use.

The Tiger Lake-H45 series also includes two six-core and 12-thread models: the Core i5-11400H and Core i5-11260H. The turbo frequency of the first chip is announced at 4.5 GHz, the second – 4.4 GHz. Again, according to earlier rumors, the company was also preparing a Core i5-11600H model, which is not shown on the presentation slide. Perhaps the manufacturer is going to announce this processor later.
