Smartphones have long become more popular than push-button phones, but the latter is actively used in developing or underdeveloped countries. According to the latest data, Samsung, which leads the smartphone market, ranks third in the global push-button phone market.

The South Korean tech giant shipped over 7.4 million push-button phones in the third quarter of 2020, according to a report by Counterpoint Research. The company tied for third place with Tecno, both with 10% of the market.
India was one of the key countries for Samsung, with 18% of the market. In the global market of push-button phones, iTel is in the lead with 24%, and the second place went to HMD Global, which produces push-button Nokia (14%).
The Indian company Lava is the fifth largest mobile phone brand in the world. In total, 74 million phones were shipped globally in the third quarter, with the largest markets being Africa and the Middle East. Compared to the same period in 2019, sales were down 17%, while in North America they were down 75% year on year.
