50% faster Adreno 740
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 single-chip system has already performed superbly even against the backdrop of Apple Bionic platforms. But the next generation SoC could outperform its main competitor.
According to well-known insider Digital Chat Station, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will have a GPU that will be 50% more powerful than the GPU in Snapdragon 8 Gen 2! However, given that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 may reportedly stay on the 4nm process, and the Apple A17 Bionic will switch to 3nm, it’s not very clear how Qualcomm can make the new GPU so much faster than the old one.

But at the same time, we have already seen rumors that the frequency of the Adreni 750 GPU in the new Qualcomm SoC will be 1 GHz versus 689 MHz for the Adreno 740, which in itself should provide an impressive performance boost.
